DIY Alt-Azi Mount

Post by Ekezial »

Ultra Low cost PVC Mount Prototype.
total cost abt 50SGD
just need to find a way to lock the axis ether with clamps or just just plain knobs driven into the "T" joint.

Hi,

Can you show us a pic with a scope mounted to give a perspective of things?

My take is to have a screw thru the T-joint to adjust friction or to lock.

perspective

Post by Ekezial »

this is a shot with a CD if u need a perspective view of the size
scope is mounted on the side with the Din rails.

here's a list of items u need to make your own.

1x 32mm PVC "T" connector
4x PG29 Cable glands
4x 6201 bearings
8-10x M12 nuts
2x 1 foot 12mm threaded rods

anyway u can easily change the size of the mount depending on the size of the bearings that you use.
