I bought this toy scope from Borders that used 2 plastic elements and was supposed to be the same mag (x3) used by Galileo when he first pointed his at Jupiter. Not too great I might add. Cost around S$30 but at least the kids have a kick making the scope (they did some colouring and stuff). This is the exact one here :

But look at this one ....my goodness. US$60+ for a few pieces of plastic objectives and cardboard tubes! Best of all, no details whatsoever ec.
If I read correctly, this is supposed to have a mag of up to x22...

I think the $60 deal is better, at least you get 10 scopes, which works out to $6 per scope! Plastic or not, I don't think it makes any difference... Heh
Come to think of it, you can make 5 bino-telescopes out of this, or link them up into a huge telescope of 43mmx10 = 430mm or 17 inch refractor! Just kidding..
