Eyepiece case using LocknLock Handy

Post by chrisyeo »

Chanced upon this storage container and i think it makes an ideal eyepiece case. It is airtight, the right size, easy to open and hardy. All you need is to carve some foam to your requirements and put in some dessicant below. If anyone needs some foam, I have some.

Cheers,
Chris

Yes the 4 sides locking is really good, I use it to carry my Toucam setup ( the webcam + focuser + illuminated EP + filter) in one box. Mine don't have the handle but with removable divider box. I use the divider box to keep filter in the dry box.

about $19 for a set of 3 different size container.

I once considered this as a case, but worried that the life of the hinges at the flaps. I wonder how long will it last? Furthermore, there is always a fear that the flaps will disengage itself and come loose. Anyway, do post experiences with this container.

Cheers!

I also have very a similar one without handle. That include 4 removable boxes.

But my box cost around only 1.5 USD. :D
