Just another mirror in Singastro

Wanna make a scope? Or better still, grind a mirror yourself. Or, you have some good tips in making a really useful accessory? This is the place to show what your hands can do...

Just another mirror in Singastro

Post by ariefm71 »

I received this 12.5" f/5 today (s/n: Mag1-12.5-078). Fresh new coating from Nova (steve dodds).

The stats say:
Relative Transverse Aberration .32
Peak to Valley Wavefront 1/ 23.5
Wavefront RMS 1/ 63
Strehl Ratio .990
it looks like a pretty decent mirror to me :)

Sorry for the quality of the pics, taken from my hp.

Forget the pics. What are you going to do with the mirror? :-)

Hi,

That's a very expensive shaving mirror...

Hang it on the ceiling of your bedroom?

If you hang it on the ceiling, you can admire yourself while in bed and keep dust from settling on the mirror at the same time.. two birds with one stone! :D
We do it in the dark...

must use rtv silicon glue, i don't think the clips is strong enough to hold the mirror and it will definitely introduce astigmatism to the mirror :)

You cannot hang it that way...when you sneeze in the bed, the mirror will get infected! :P
