The sky wasn't that good that night, both in terms of seeing and transparency. Furthermore Saturn and the Moon were already setting.

Today the weather seems fine, so we will bring the 15" dob down to the Science Centre Observatory grounds tonight 8 Jul 2011 from 8:30pm to 10pm. All are welcome to join us there!

15" ZOC dob & C14 : part two

Twice in as many days, we get to setup the 15" dob besides a C14. Last night 8 Jul 2011, Albert Tan from TASOS brought his C14 on CGE Pro mount. Unlike the poorer seeing at Tiong Bahru Park where the image couldn't hold steady at 400x magnification, last night's seeing was excellent as we could immediately get a sharp & steady Saturn at 400x when we setup the 15" dob. Half an hour later, 563x was usable on Saturn.

Ditto Richard. I've always wanted to go to Sedili and now have the ability to do so..
