8 inch SCT for deep-sky viewing

Post by dan »

Hi,

I’ve just registered and so glad to see many people in this forum so passionate in astronomy.

I’m using 4.5 newt telescope for planetary watch and planning to upgrade to 8 inch SCT, wonder if it can gives a clearer view of deep sky object in S’pore sky?

Thanks

welcome dan!
yes..aperture wins wherever you are..get the biggest you can afford and handle as your primary scope. keep a small refractor or 90mm Mak for those grab-and-go situations..
check out the observation forums for activities
cheers!
