I read about Remus' Epsilon scope and did some search for it .
Antares did not indicate what aperture it is....
From the pics of the range, it looks like a short tube newtonian but is identified as a catadioptric. So what kind of scope is it and what is its strengths?
would have asked myself but was not able to make it last night...
any links to the official website?
curious...

Hi,
The Takahashi Epsilon is design for Astrophotography in mind. Got a fast f-ratio and wide field and it should be a reflector (I also found some website identified it as a catadioptric, may be due to the field flattener in it). Here is a review of the Takahashi Epsilon 200:

By the way, what model is the Remus' Epsilon?? Takahashi Epsilon 160, 210, 250 and 350???

it's just a newtonian wif a hyperbolic primary mirror, and a corrector in the focuser. focal ratio is f/3. usually design to be an astrograph, but to many of us it's just a oversized dustbin. looking down the ota u would see the mirror, which is much smaller than u expect due to fact that the tube is seriously oversized, abt 10-11inch for the 8.3inch mirror. the focuser looks neat, i think it's better for u to see it for urself.
