New Image - Horsehead Nebula

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

New Image - Horsehead Nebula

Post by tanguan2001 »

Weds and Thursday nights were fantastic in terms of transparency. I've been trying to get autoguiding to work with a piggy-backed guidescope and finally succeeded.

Check out the Horsehead on my webpage (link below - scroll down to the end of the DSLR thumbnails).

Kay Heem joined me for a bit of the imaging session as I struggled with finding a guidestar, and temperamental software.

Guiding was through a f=700mm Skywatcher refractor, SAC7 camera and Iris software.

Enjoy...

Hi TG

Congratulation in getting this beautiful HH and i am please to hear you got your autoguider working.

Recently i had AG success with Guidedog and shoestring guide port. It should work wonderfully with SAC7 given it LX capability.

Looking fwd to more images with your new found AG capabilty.
