Hi,
Another image taken from 11 - 12 Feb 2005 observation session using my Sky-Watcher 150 F5 Newtonian and Canon 300D:
http://www.singastro.org/album_pic.php?pic_id=366
I think I accidentally kick the tripod  , so the tracking is off. To reduce the star trails (Packing up, so no time and too lazy to redo polar alignment), so I used ISO 1600... a bad choice... won't do that again next time.
Anyway, after compare all my images to those produce by our expert here (TG, Matthew, JY, Kochu & etc), I think all my images appear more blueish and most of my red components are lost.... I think due to the way I do noise reduction in photoshop... will try a different approach or software.
Have a nice day.

Hi Weixing,
Good.I see that you got a new 300 D. New CNY purchase?
Shot has come out well. Don't bother about the back ground stars much. Keep up the good work.
BTW ISO 1600 is not a bad choice as you seem to think.I think it is quite tolerable with 300 D
The lack of red component will be there till you take the bold step of modifying the 300 D.

I won't do that modification (remove the IR filter), since I'll be using it for normal photography. Heard that you won't be able to get an accurate auto-focusing and white balance after you remove it even you put an external IR filter.BTW ISO 1600 is not a bad choice as you seem to think.I think it is quite tolerable with 300 D

Well then, there's a good excuse now for you to get your hands on the new Canon 20Daweixing wrote: I won't do that modification (remove the IR filter), since I'll be using it for normal photography.
