Re: My astrophotography 2021
I was trying to capture both Denebola and Melotte star cluster in the same frame. Later I found out that the Virgo galaxy cluster happened to be in the same view.
Now under the very poor condition (short total exposure, tiny photo bucket: 50mm/F1.4 at F2.8, and terrible light pollutions), it is super fun to identify as many Virgo galaxies as possible.
A dozen of the brightest ones did show up and got easily identifiable images.

Closeups of a few identified galaxies in the Virgo cluster. It is hunting cosmic objects at >50mly distance with a standard camera lens (50mm FL).

Re: My astrophotography 2021
Woke up this early morning to the mostly clear skies. Went down to the garden and collected a few dozens of short exposures of the milky way section from M8-M17.
Then the position was a bit unfavorable -- at low altitude and under light pollution. I was too lazy to drag and drive to slightly darker site.
The image still suffers CA when 105mm lens aperture down to F4 from F2.5. Hmm. Maybe it is time to upgrade.

Venus is approaching M35, which is however not visible behind the skyglow and thin clouds.

Mars has climbed above the twin stars in Gemini, heading towards M44 the Beehive cluster.

The crescent moon had risen after midnight when I was back from a bike ride and washed.
Always fascinated by the cresent moon.

Am a super fan of galaxies.
A total of 145min Lum exposures captured by a 200RH remote telescope allow me to examine the rich Virgo galaxy cluster. Despite the wide field, the super high-resolution camera still captures nice details of those larger individual galaxies.

M88 is located in the far lower-left corner -- which is, unfortunately, the only corner that suffers much aberration. Here is the 100% crop.
