CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
The previous evening saw me stuck in the traffic jam and missed the sunset by merely 1 minute. Today went out early but alas, the ugly clouds in the north-western sky!
Went up to a remote beach to try to shoot milky way. Near-first-quarter moon shines almost overhead. But perhaps that cannot compare to the all-man-made sky glows to the east and to the south.
Ended up with a poor milky way image. But at the same time, my first selfie astrophoto!
Nice job taking the MW under such heavy light population. Did you take this using ETTR?

Nope. Because I was doing multiple exposures and stacking, I guess it would be better to be conservative and not to overexpose.
But I was really struggling with the postprocessing. Too much uneven light pollution to deal with. Very disappointed with the end product. Is it worth the huge effort? I don't know.
