Venus has inched eastwards from last evening's position. And thanks to the clear skies, the three bright star/planets all cast reflection on the water surface.
My astrophotography 2021
Re: My astrophotography 2021
Milkyway Arch. No, it is not the real Milkyway arch panorama -- something nearly impossible from Singapore. Instead, I just got the Milkyway core and an arch in the same frame.
It was the same evening but I made a serious mistake and wasted precious time -- when I reached the site to shoot the Milkyway, the core region was already past the high altitude position -- worse still, the clouds crept in shortly. In the end, only a few exposures. And then I forgot to take dark frames -- when I came back home and tried to took dark frames -- the noise patterns don't quite match those light frames. And the hot pixels are damn almost everywhere in the staked image.
Anyway, perhaps I should have just given up shooting the Milkyway from Singapore altogether, given the light pollution.

Cloudy evening. Managed to capture a view of the new crescent moon of Chinese 8th month.
And kept tracking Venus and Vesta's motion in Virgo. The brightest planet, and the brightest dwarf planet.

Again my plan to shoot deepsky/milkyway was spoilt by the never-clearing high clouds.
Kept tracking moon and Venus, anyway.

Inner planets line up with Spica, almost a perfect straightline.

Just another moonshot.

Spent a couple of hours at Upper Seletar -- but only managed to capture a total of 10min of exposure data for the milky way. The passing clouds were annoying!
But I am quite glad that the images are quite sharp from the Sigma 50mmF1.4@F2-- the new EOS-FE adapter worked quite well (my previous adapter suffers alignment issue)
100% crops of a few interesting objects

And, let me try a different moonshot

Tried to photograph the Lyra constellation. Despite the prominence of this small constellation in the summer night sky, it does not have many interesting objects.
