1st light with new L-eNhance filter, also 1st time doing more than 30sec subs. Glad that guiding the star adventurer made it possible.
Focusing with a bhatinov mask was not easy as the filter cuts out so much light.
Still a noisy image probably due to the lack of integration time.
The Rosette Nebula (also known as Caldwell 49) is an emission nebula, a large star forming region located in the constellation Monoceros. It more than lives up to its informal nickname, as its circular shape and deep, dark centre gives it a floral appearance.

Haha i think it's more of the filter blocking unwanted light.LookingForScope wrote: ↑Tue Jan 25, 2022 7:14 pm Ahh I see. Must be a really dark spot then! Given how "alive" SG still is at 9pm

I gotta say the filter is a game changer here, but I think it'll only be worthwhile if you're autoguiding.
Yea, so many nice targets, maybe I'll sink in more time into the rosette or try out something else in auriga. If only I'm less lazy.
