Ioptron has jumped in the harmonic drive based Equatorial mounts with hem27..

It has harmonic drive in ra axis and traditional backlash free worm/belt drive in Dec. Impressive light weight 3.7kg with paoad capacity of 13kg and doesn't require any counterweights.

Is it the perfect travel mount. What do you think.

yes thats a bummer.. otherwise this looks very good on specs, a lightweight travel friendly mount without the need of counterweights.
