The weather of the first half of last week was quite fair and I managed to collect some useful Ha, S2 and O3 data of NGC 3372.

Hi Leslie,
Those are really very good photos in your flickr page. But I don't see any photos in your google album, have you deleted them?

Have you posted technical information about your scope, camera, # of subframes, exposure times etc. for each of those photos? It'll be interesting to see whether I can reproduce what you've done in Singapore. Note: Traveling outside of Singapore is not on the cards in the near future because I have to set up a new home.

For the past two weeks, Singapore has been either cloudy or raining which is clearly not AP weather. It seems you were able to do AP despite the weather. What's your experience for doing AP in Singapore? Which months are good? And how many good hours for AP?

My equipment is on a slow boat to Singapore, and so it'll be a few months before I can actually do it. Hopefully, there'll be a few clear nights to have my first light in Singapore.

Thank you.

After I posted for almost 1 year, I found a better platform than Google. So, I relocated my photos to flickr. In addition, I found that other than Buy and Sell and Astronomy Events and Observation Sessions, this forum is dead.

IMHO, SHO or HOO is workable in Singapore, Usually I used f/3.9, 20 x 180s for each channel minimum. I only image in RGB for testing of equipment.

Last but not least, Singapore weather is not as good as someone mentioned in another topic. From Oct 2023 to Dec 2023, only half a night is ok to image DSOs per month. However, Feb 2024 was good, probably 4-5 nights were ok.

May to June should be good. Probably 4-5 nights as well.

My equipment should arrive in the first week of June unless the boat sinks

It'll be a good time to try setting my stuff up. Hopefully my mounts' pointing modeling at latitude 1 deg works so I don't need to do precise Polar Alignment. I guess I'll find out.

And I image between around f5 to f6.6. Narrow band is fine for me.

In summary: Oct to Dec. may have 1/2 night/month, Feb, May to June have 4-5 nights good enough nights to image.

I'm looking forward to starting imaging again. It'll definitely be a challenge with so few nights.

Thanks. I used OSC, 2600MC Pro with not so narrow L_eNh filter.
