Recent(ish) Astrophotography

Post by rss1234 »

Hello all, it has been quite a while since I last posted. Between finishing JC and enlisting in NS I have found time to process some backlogged captures (which I also post on my instagram: @roshanography) to share, as well as some images I haven't posted here. I had packed up most of my gear but hopefully will get around to getting back into the hobby in the next couple of weeks as there looks to be a good run of clear skies soon :mryellow:

All these are shot from my balcony in Singapore :)

Very nice!

Can you give more technical details, like number of subframes, filters, scope type, F# etc.

I'm really surprised you can actually do > 6 hours in Singapore. Were these done over multiple nights? And where's your balcony located?

cytan

P.S. My equipment has finally arrived and I've set them up in the living room. It'll be a few more weeks before I can set up and do my first Polar Alignment.

I have yet to try Cygnus Loop and Pelican Nebula in Singapore.

Hi cytan

If weather is good the whole night and if I deploy my telescope at the swimming pool area, I can image M16, Eagle Nebula and Rosette Nebula for 5 hours.
IC 2177, M42 ,M83, NGC 2359 and Leo Triplet for 6 hours.

However, after I found that even with 12 hours integration time in Singapore, it is still not as good as 3 hours in Mersing. I did not sacrifice my sleep in Singapore anymore.
