NGC253 (Sculptor Galaxy) without any light pollution filters

Post by cytan299 »

Hi everyone,
I'm sure the old hands here already know this, but as part of my exploration of how to do AP in Singapore, I wanted to see whether it is possible to do broadband astrophotography without any light pollution filters here. The answer is "Yes" ... well at least for bright DSOs. Here's my NGC253 (Sculptor Galaxy) taken on 12 Oct 2024 + 27 Oct 2024 + 05 Nov 2024 for a combined integration time of only a little over 4 hours. The short period of clear skies plus the useless weather predictions in Singapore makes the entire image capture process quite annoying. However, the magic of the 21st century image processing comes to the rescue of my short integration time :). Enjoy!
