Planetary n lunar imaging help
hi guys. would like to find out somethings from u guys. When imaging planets, is a guidescope require? how does u guys do lunar mosiac? by taking different places of the moon n paste them together like a jigsaw puzzle? thanks alot.
Hi Jingguo,
A guidescope is not required because the exposure is very short. You can allow the planet to drift.
Yes, making a lunar mosiac is like putting together a jigsaw. If you have photoshop, here is a website that gives instructions how to do it:http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfis ... hotsho.htm (original in French)
I believe there are new programs on the net that stitch together images automatically. Maybe other members can help you on that one.
Cheers,
Chris
