Hi all,
It's been some time! Will be organizing a 2D1N
stargazing trip to Batu Layar beach on the 6th of
August 2005 (Saturday). It will be an overnight trip,
and we will be back the following day. For working
individuals, it is unneccessary to apply for leave at
all, likewise for students, you will not need to miss
classes (if you have). The observing site has
bathroom/toilet facilities (bathing - 1RM per person
per scrub), and have a simple cafe that you can order
(Very nice) tea, and mee goreng, fried rice, etc.
Sometimes burgers! I will have the lamp posts
deactivated, so we will be able to enjoy dark skies.
The beach front faces approximately northeast and we
will be set up short grass. There will be no shelter
at the site, so do bring a tent if neccessary.
Mosquito repellant will be advisable too.

Meeting venue - Changi Village Bus Interchange (POSB
ATM machine)
Meeting time - 12 noon (sharp)
Date: 6th August (Saturday) (back next noon)
Cost: SGD$30 per person (include two way transport)
Notes:
Transport includes ferry ride from Changi Jetty to
Johore, and then subsequently we will take taxis to
the exact location. We will be having a short lunch at
the Changi Village Food Center before leaving for Batu
Layar. Please bring additional Malaysian currency for
Saturday's dinner and snacks (for yourself)
