Please tell me I don't need this

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

Drool !!! And the red is so striking!

But I would rather save up for a bigger aperture, eg. 11 inch dob, right Vincent?

Quoted from the WO group:
"According to calculations, the triplet should yield slightly better
results when it comes to color correction. But. Whether that is
visible to the naked eye, I am not very sure. At least visually, the
FD should fare extremely well and comparably to the triplet. Also
consider that the doublet has a top-quality coating that the triplet
does not have."

So, I am not sure that this WO doublet fluorite would be superior to Synta ED80 in terms of color correction.

CC, what is the shipping that you paid for the scope?

I went to their online website and realised that need to pay $176 to ship this scope to Singapore! The package weigh 17.25 lbs!! The scope is only 6lbs.....not sure why is the package so damn heavy.

They charged about US$16 for UPS ground shipping to my CA address. But u save on the exorbitant CA tax lor if you have the scope shipped to Sg.

I just cancelled my order with WO Online and ordered with Anacortes. Anacortes charges only $10 for shipping and since its located out of state, there's no sales tax! So I saved US$68 just by changing who I buy from :)

BTW Anacortes just informed me that the scope will only ship in early Dec. They have since sold out their allotment but you can still get the scope directly from WO...
