The shipping is not included. Shipping by EMS to Singapore is about S$40 from the discussion with Choon Kiat. But the shipping cost to Bangkok is double.

Please check with Choon Kiat about the exact price because I make rough rate conversion.

The price is incredible considering his innovative design, GS optics, and service.

The 6" dob costs about S$400.

Anat
that's cheap! they have lowered their prices. I wonder how much they are shipping the 8" version now.
the scope is quite good actually. i tried it during last year Poly's Funomynite and its very portable. nearly bought one if not for my aversion to collimation and the slightly higher price then.

here is their website but it does not seem to be ready yet.

Thank you Anat for the endorsement.

I have just managed to log into the forum as I am out of Penang currently. Here are some clarification on the scope.

The truss tube telescope was designed by another Singastro member also from Penang. We were playing with the idea of making telescope more affordable. Base of some design from the internet and some modifications, we came out with this design. Although it has been a year, there are still some adjustments need to be made. Don't get me wrong. The scope is a working scope, but we are always working to make it more user friendly and fun to use.

Since Anat has received the scope, he has kindly given me some sincere feedback on the scope and I will make some changes to the next batch.

The optic is from Guan Sheng. I can't gurantee that the mirror is 1/12 wave, but I didn't see any problem with the optics. I was very impressed with the optics they produced. Both their refractors and reflectors performed very well while the price is downright low.

When I first introduced the scope, I believe the price was RM1300, but I have since lowered it to RM1000 (~SGD430?). Shipping to Singapore should be around RM100. I remembered that I have sent a similar package to Singapore and it costed me around RM90. Need to check with the post office if the price has risen.

PM me with your email and I'll send you the owner's manual that give you a better picture of the truss tube.

As for my webpage, it should be ready by end of this month. It was down for a year due to problem with the URL. Sorry for the inconvenient caused.
