Mounting plate for 2 scopes
Hi,
Thanks for all your suggestions and advice!
I think I've got an idea of how the plate will look like after seeing Matthew's website and Charlie's drawing ... =)
I've got more question though. How do I align to make sure both scopes are pointed at the exact same place if I were use as a finder/guidescope? From matthews picture, it looks like both scopes are connected via dovetail, so does it mean the construction tolenrances must be very high and pre-aligned or is there a way to align the scopes every time I mount them? btw, I intend to use just screws below the OTA to mount instead of using tube rings .. =)
Cheers!

Hi,
Have a nice day.
You need those guide scope tube ring for smaller scope... The guide scope tube ring act like a finderscope holder... got screws on the tube ring for you to align the small scope to the main scope... same as how you would align a finder scope. Thanks for all your suggestions and advice!
