Hi all,
wow, this thread has grown...will answer specifically:
david: yes, it is. you could contact me at my handphone when you are reaching. we should be around the area at 4-5PM on this saturday if there are no hold-ups.
ovc17m: yes it refers to the next morning. do bring your gear along. the route is quite refreshing, especially the nice air. The terrain would be slightly undulating though, but on smooth road, so it should be good for those calves.
all: it would be nice to swim there as well, so bring along your swimming gear if you have.
anyone bringing tents????

Thank again.
We will time our arrival earlier than as the jam at Causeway is unbelieveable & unpredictable at this time of year.
See then.

Hi JP,
The amount of heat packs used depends on the telescope. For a normal C8, you need at least 2 heat packs. Also, it will depend on location. Batu Layar is not as "dewy" as Mersing or Ubin since there is a constant draft throughout the nights for most nights of the year. So far, for all recent trips to Batu Layar for the past two years, I have not needed the use of heat packs, but would adivse you to bring just in case.

Re:Batu Layar New Year eve
Hi
My family and Daniel & his family enjoyed this outing very much even though it was tough for kids plus other irritations.
It will be year eve outing my family will remember for long time.
Personally I had some much sand flies bites both legs look like leprosy.
Thank Remus and guys for allowing in on this trip. 8-)
