Too expensive... gets outdated after 3-5 yrs... if I get a premium APO, will hold value for at least 5 years! :-p

I used to and still am a MacAddict ... support Mac all the way!!
But since I started seriously starting astronomy and wanted to get an iBook/Pbook, I was thinking, this thing is not compatible with Meade's DSI/LPI .. or any of the Orion CCDs and stuff ... I would need some of the "proper" and more expensive stuff and get full priced software cos most of the freeware are for Win.
A good example is that I still haven't figured out how to use "Keith's image stacker" for the mac till now while I see other guys using registax so impressively ... =(
So I'm holding off getting a new mac till I can properly "link" my 2 passions reasonably ....(with my NS budget of course) =)

Argh ... and I used to be the one who always "boasted" to my PC friends that my Mac can run/do anything their Window's can run/do .... argh ...

P.S. I dun belive in Virtual PC - I would rather get a PC if I wanted to run windows. =)

I used to run Virtual PC, but gave up when the slowdown in speed and occassional crashes made it a frustrating experience. Bottom line, get Macs to do what Macs does best (graphics, multimedia), and a PC to for others!

Cheers!

apple zealots are so hard core sometimes they are a pain in the you-know-what. I was commenting about my impression on the ipod and not all my comments are good. immediately someone went on offensive, curtly asking me to please use apple products longer before commenting on them!
geez....i don't have anything against apple though, I just thought they have both good and bad points. to "applians", saying the apples have bad point is blesphemy!

People who are too zealous lose out in the end because they are often blind to the advantages of other products and miss out on the benefits other offerings can bring. My professor once said: "Never be the first to try the new, nor the last to discard the old." :P

I find apple product are more user-friendly. "Start" button is a no-no....
