Anyone owns a 12" or larger DOB?

Here is the place to talk about all those equipment(Telescope, Mounts, Eyepieces, etc...) you have. Not sure which scope/eyepiece is best for you? Trash it out here!

So 'evil'. Nevermind, I wait for someone to get a monster 20inch and looking through that once awhile will probably cure this aperture fever.

I don't think it'll cure your aperture "fever" this way... instead you may get a aperture "High Fever" if you do that.

Have a nice day.

You will need two scopes. One for curing an aperture fever and another one for curing a back pain :)

Haha..i agree....

I think as scopes come down in price, aperture fever will go up.

Who knows, a 20" scope 10 years from now may cost like a 12.5"......and you see everyone here having a 15" at least.

That's dangerous ... I might take out my investment returns and buy a 20" scope ... defeating the purpose of my investments .. and paying 5% GSTax (if it doesn't go up).. TOTALLY defeating the purpose .. HAHAHA .... :)
But who knows what will happen in 10 years ... :) Income goes up, spending goes up .. Hee hee ...
VinSnr,

Haa. I think I will stop at 12.5 inch. Need to start investment and saving or else as what you said, I won't have enough money for retirement. :)
Yeap, same here. Get the biggest scope I can afford and move around (with or without children's help) and then sit back and enjoy the scope. It will fit my MPV for sure, its just the stairs in my house that I worry about. May have to 'downgrade' to a 15 inch or even a 12.5 if my insurance don't hobby induced back pain. :(

Problem is, sometimes when you look at the bulk, you don't even feel like taking it out anymore.

So no back pain, but just not utilised.
