The Lim Chu Kang ob site would be a nice and dark area, if we can get someone to drive us there....

Hi.

28th is a new moon weekend. Are any drivers interested in going up to Mersing? Maybe we can have a star party! The weather is still unpredictable but there have been some clear days lately..

Hi, I am new to astro. Really need some advice here.

Where is a good place to view tonight? Where is the Chua Chu Kang Ob site? What time does this happen?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Where is a good place to view tonight? Where is the Chua Chu Kang Ob site? What time does this happen?
A dark seaside facing south east (changi or east coast) may be is the best place to view it... The constellation Aquarius will raise around 10.30pm, so may be around 11.30pm onward will be a good time. Look at the south east for a bright star (Fomalhaut) at around that time... the meteor will appear around that part of the sky.

Good luck and have a nice day.

I will try at about 12am if the weather is good. WX is right, changi or east coast will give the best view.

Hi!

If the sky is clear and there is an ob, do activate the Clear Skies Network! I'll be there at East Coast if you are obbing.

Cheers,
Chris
