Part of M31 Andromeda Galaxy

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Part of M31 Andromeda Galaxy

Post by weixing »

Hi,
Taken during the Mersing Trip using my Sky-Watcher 120 F8.3 Achromatic Refractor... oh... forget to put the VR filter...

I think focusing was not that sharp. Also polar alignment was not that accurate, so limited to only 1 minute exposure for each image.

Anyway, the image was the result of stacking 21 x 1 minute exposure at ISO 800 and process in IRIS and Photoshop.

Have a nice day.

Nice shot Weixing...
I've always wondered why Andromeda always looks different from the other Galaxies, including the milky way....mmmm
