Hi all,
Seeing the interest in digital image processing for wide field and deep sky images, am thinking of organising a LIVE image processing tutorial for the people here. What we need is a platform where everyone can get together and experience the tutorial live, or almost live in a sense. I think this is definitely useful for anyone interested in image processing. Infact, you do not even need to have an imaging setup to learn this. You just need an image processing software like Photoshop, and a keen interest in image processing. We can start with anyone's raw image (or i can take one of mine), and we can go through step by step. We can set a date for the live tutorial, and everyone can have a copy of the raw image, and i can walk you through the image processing via Photoshop, to give you a feel of basic image calibration and processing, and hopefully, get those engines started and lower the learning curve for a journey of astronomy imaging.
any thoughts?
