Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
NTU Astro Club is organising a research trip to Mersing in the coming Saturday, 23th Sep. Considering this is our first time to Mersing, we decided to go with people who have been there before, and Richard Low kindly offered to help. (Here many thanks to him)
We are going there on a minivan, which can accomodate 10 people. The fee for booking it is $400, so if we can gather 10 people, the fee will be $40 each. However, we also need to spend some extra money on food and other necessities. According to Richard Low's past experience, we will leave in early afternoon on Saturday, and hopefully arrive before dawn if not much time is wasted at the custom. We will come back around noon on Sunday.
Some reminders here:
1. For ladies who are interested to go, there is no proper toilet facilities so it will be based on Stone-Age methods.
2. If weather is not good or you feel tired, you can sleep in the tents we are bringing or in the minivan. You can also sleep in nearby hotels but the cost will be more.
So far we have these people confirmed to go:
1. Anna(NTUAS President)
2. Arjun(NTUAS former president)
3. Jia Hao(NTUAS Logistic) with ETX-125
4. Richard Low with Mewlon 210
5. Ian with ???
6. Clement with ???
So now we have four vacancies, any of you who are interested to go, just register in this thread. If you are bringing your telescope please kindly mention it.
