Btw, this is the actual day of 中秋节. Isn't anyone gonna meet up so that we can look at the moon in its full glory??

If there is someone who can give me a lift there, I will bring the Mewlon 210, Sphinx mount and Denk II binoviewer, otherwise its just the C5 & Denk II. :)

Jin Peng, perhaps you may like to put up more information, eg:

1. Programme details and any highlights etc
2. Location map indicating the ob site, car park, toilets etc,
3. Direction on how to get there by bus, car etc.

Hi guys,

Yup, indeed we are celebrating 中秋节 and we are organising at school level as well as inviting astro ppl too! But got to tell me in advance so i can settle some security matters.

That night I manage to get VinSnr, ykChia, lowrobin to give talk. Yet to confirm their time slot.

1. Programme details:
1700 - 1800 Solar Observation/astronomy talk
1810 - 1900 astronomy talk
1900 - 2000 Outdoor astronomy talk/pomelo peeling competition
2000 - 2200 Moon observation/performance by our school chinese orchestra
*no overnight observation
*First come first serve basis on the mooncakes, chinese tea and pomelo!! <FREE admission and refreshment for the above>, no dinner provided.

2. We will have ushers to usher you to the places where the activity is held.

3. To republic polytechnic Woodlands Avenue 9
BY MRT
Woodlands Station

BY CAR (shortest route)
From PIE (Jurong) - Exit onto BKE(Woodlands)(Exit 24)
From BKE - Exit onto SLE (Exit 8)
From SLE - Exit via Woodlands Ave 2 (Exit 10)
From Woodlands Ave 2 - Turn right into Woodlands Ave 9 at the 4th junction (after you see Woodlands MRT on your left)
From Woodlands Ave 9 - Turn left into Republic Polytechnic (drop off/pick up point and basement carpark)

BY BUS
To Woodlands Interchange
168, 169, 178, 187, 856, 858, 900, 901, 903, 911, 912, 913, 925, 926, 960, 961, 962, 964, 925C, 961C

Hi Moo, so far there isn't anyone who can help me transport the drag-n-go equipment, so the current status is that I will just bring the C5 and Denk II. :)

Will be coming with my 10" dob, may need sunglasses to look at the full moon through it. :lol:

BTW, can we have more information of the ob site (roof top, open field, proximity to car park......)
