FS: high quality dovetail/saddle plate package

Post by denebman »

I have few pieces of custom made dovetail/saddle plate packages to sale, they are CNC machined from an aerospace grade aluminium alloy that is much tougher than T 6061.

The dimention is: 4" X 8", thickness: 1/2", hole separation on saddle plate: 35mm pair and 76.2 mm pair (OD=8mm). The surface is anodized & sand blasted.

Price: $195 per set.

Please PM or contact me at 93626105 to test or buy.

An example to mount my homemade TMB115 refractor. The centre of gravity is easily adjusted when one switches between a massive 2" nagler ep and a 1.25" tiny tmb supermono.

The set was made according to Losmandy's standard.

Hi Liu Ming,

What do you mean when you say the Centre of Gravity is easily adjusted? Is it adjusted with the saddle/dovetail connection or with the tube rings? (I've never used the Losmandy system before)

Thanks!

The adjustment is done at the saddle/dovetail connection. :)

Yes, the dovetail plate can slide forward or backward to achieve the best balance of your OTA. And also, the spring loaded connection gives you a sure feel on whether the dovetail is secured or loosened.

Update: the last piece is reserved. thanks for viewing.

Wow! Great price .. too bad I've invested quite abit in Vixen style mounting ... This would be great for a larger scope.

Upz!! :)
