Isn't that what imagers are doing with RGB frames? Except they shoot in B&W through the filters...

Yes, but how about shooting in colour? If the resultant is as good as an apo, then can just stick with the achro but do more work.
Dunno... maybe can try this weekend if the sky is clear...
