My first constellation pic, taken yesterday night with Weixing,Clement and Reis.Picture shot with compact digital camera.... :oops: :oops: .

Congrats, amin!

My first astrophoto (Big Dipper of Ursa Major) was a very crude one. Your 'stars in the day' picture is certainly more refined :)

You may want to try the tutorial that boothee mentioned in the post on my first astrophoto. The post-processing technique will help to reduce the 'day look' and make your photo more like stars at night ;)

Nice shot! More stars than can be seen with the naked eye!
[80% Steve, 20% Alfred] ------- Probability of Clear Skies = (Age of newest equipment in days) / [(Number of observers) * (Total Aperture of all telescopes present in mm)]

guys thanks for the very useful comments......appreciate so much... :) :) .Anyway thanks to Weixing for his wonderful thoughts on this little camera...very useful tip from him.... :) :) BTW here is another shot of the constellation scorpious with an aircraft fly by just above the tip of the tea pot........more comments pls....... :) :)

Did you stack the images? If not, you can try doing that to bring out the stars!

Amin, hey Omega Centauri in the crux pic, very dim but it is there. stack, stack, stack ..... and you will get a bigger, brighter one.
