Suggestions for "Buy and Sell"

Post by Meng Lee »

Hi,

Oops, too many ideas already. Is it possible to rearrange the posts in that subsection according to "sold" or "unsold"? (as in, locked or unlocked posts). In this way, newbies or members who wants to look for available items can find it more easily?

Thanks.

Hi Meng Lee

May be good to transfer all "sold" items to a "sold" sub-forum or simply delete it altogether but we need to be mindful not to create too many sub-forums.
I will let the system admin look into this and see how they think...
:D

A good way to do that would be to alter the title to include '*Sold*', like in Astromart.

We are already doing that...I think Meng Lee wants to remove it from the list, so that only outstanding sale items are listed...

Yes we appreciate if sellers and buyers take the time to edit the titles to reflect "Sold" and "Found" respectively. There is no convenient way to sort the posts according to sale status, so we shall leave the sub-forum as-is.
We do it in the dark...

Er, I mean, can the posts with "Sold" be arranged to the back of the list of posts? That will easier for potential buyers to look through the list. Sorry for so many requests.

Hi,

Please note that the free forum software we are using do not have a specific sub-forum or function that support "buy and sell"... it is basically same as other sub-forum in SingAstro forum... just that we use it as a "buy and sell" sub-forum.

Also, please note that the Astronomical community here are very small, so most item will took a long time to sell, so you need to be either a bit more patient or sell it at dirt cheap... free will be even faster. :P

Anyway, if you want to sell it fast, you can to try Astromart ( http://www.astromart.com/ ) as the potential buyers are basically the whole world.

By the way, will took note of your suggestion and hopefully we can implement it in the future.

Have a nice day.
