Hey Andrew, Vincent is in the USA, not S'pore. We are still waiting for you to buy the Ethos... it is afterall cheaper than your original budget of US$1000, and we have lined up the 14XW and 13NT6 (and clones...) on standby waiting to compare with it. :)

Andrew,

When can we look through Ethos, Big scope and big mirrors? When is the first light? Still waiting for it..

How about comparing eyepieces with the same TFOV as the Ethos (for eg. the 20XW has slightly bigger TFOV)? Which should be done as that is a major advantage it has over other eyepieces of longer focal length. Theoretically, the Ethos will show more stars due to higher magnification and 'darker background' especially in Singapore skies; I can't even be bothered about using eyepieces with greater than 2.5mm exit pupil as it is just so washed out due to the light pollution.

Sorry guys for the delay... I'm currently overseas... will fix it up when I'm back!

As for Ethos - you think I can pick it off the shelf next week? :P

Well, if you are anywhere in the Northern California region, I think I can hook you up with 1. If not, I think it might be tough to find 1 on the shelf.

Yes! Vincent, perhaps you can help Andrew (and us...) if he wants to get an Ethos immediately 'off the shelf' by arranging to ship it to him somewhere in Chicago? :)
