cause the white dot of the t-ring is at the same position of the screw for the flattener. and the flat3 is too big, screw too big as well. so screw hits the built in flash of the camera when attempting to screw in.

i'm assuming the the threads are completely random on the t-rings and the flatteners. thus looking for one that would have different white dot position from the screw. dot has to be on opposite side of the screw to work somehow.

MooEy, try this:

Where the threads of the T-ring are, look at the outside. You may see some small set screws. These set screws hold the T-threads in place. You can try to loosen the set screws, turn the T-threads so that the thumb screw does not hit the flash, then tighten the thumb screws again.

In your pic, it looks like it is near where the swan is.

I had a similar problem with my Canon T-ring and the above work-around solved it.
