Hi, Weixing,
Might be keen, can you help measure
1) the mounting screw dimension between each other, hoping not to drill holes on my 10" OTA
2) the minimum and maximum height from base (with the 1.25 adapter in), I also worried it might not reach focus...

Hi,
the mounting screw dimension between each other, hoping not to drill holes on my 10" OTA
It should be able to fit on most Sky-Watcher/Orion/Celestron/GSO standard 2" Rack and Pinion focuser mounting hole. It fit my Celestron 8" Newtonian mounting hole. Below are the dimension:
- Base plate dimensions: 3.54" x 3.54" (90mm x 90mm)
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center along telescope tube/optical axis): 70mm
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; straight line measurement): 73mm
- Hole Spacing (center-to-center perpendicular to telescope tube; measured along curve of base plate): 74mm
the minimum and maximum height from base (with the 1.25 adapter in), I also worried it might not reach focus...
If your default focuser is the standard 2" Rack and Pinion focuser, you'll need a extension tube to reach focus. My Celestron 8" F5 Newtonian require the extension tube to reach focus. Anyway, I got one Orion 2" extension tube and can let go at S$20 if you need it.
Below are the height:
- Minimum focuser height (with 1.25" adapter) = 62mm
- Maximum focuser height (with 1.25" adapter) = 94mm
- Minimum focuser height (without 1.25" adapter) = 52mm
- Maximum focuser height (without 1.25" adapter) = 84mm

By the way, no screws are included and the original screws for the 2" Rack and Pinion focuser is too short... at least my Celestron 8" F5 Newtonian is.

Thanks for looking and have a nice day.

Think we pass for this... does not really like the idea of using a extension tube. [smilie=sigh.gif]
