Hi all,
I came across this and I emailed them for the price.
http://www.united-optics.com/products/T ... F-7_ED.htm
They are willing to sell to the end-user for USD510 inclusive of mounting ring, dovetail, 2" dielectric mirror diagonal and aluminum case.
Anyone keen to buy and try? VinSnr? :-)
The Orion 80mm EON goes for USD649, 80mm ED Apo for USD480 (with software but no case or diagonal).
The Celestron Onyx 80EDF costs USD699 with case but no diagonal. The original 80ED costs USD440, with cheap 25mm Plossl, diagonal and finderscope.

Not sure about that.
However, if you look at the website, the focuser already has the adaptor. You can email them directly to enquire about the shipping. They use the term FOB (Freight on Board), if you know what that means.

VinSnr, your name always crops up in the same sentence as 'Apo refractor' mah. You can email them directly about the scope and shipping cost. I am keen to find out the quality of these OEM manufacturers.
Unfortunately, my wife will kill me if she knows I have bought another scope!
