Markus Ludes of APM-Germany has just informed us today that the APM 102mm f/6 Wide Field Refractor will be retired once the last unit in the store gets sold. It will be replaced by a 'superior' 100mm f/7 sometime in July this year.
We are hoping that the new scope will be one that introduces some new & serious competition to the new playing field set by Orion and Celestron with their 'brow raising 80mm Chinese 'APOs'.
