Finally caught u, the chicken that didn't run away...

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

Yes Remus, Ray, rcj, Photon Bucket, etc etc, (LOL) the forecast isn't too rosey.
Cheers, Ken :D

I couldn't see it earlier but now that Remus has added the other piece, it has become clear now. The head at the top right, the tail to the left. One leg on the right. The other "leg" should appear once Remus completes the Mosiac. Judging from the sky in Australia, we are talking about in minutes....not months!

okok....back on topic....i thought i would just take a photo of the Bahtinov mask....it is made for any 80mm refractor, and out of easy to find cardboard...and works! It does not look perfect and pretty, but seriously, it works well... in fact, it is interesting to check the star burst pattern nightly and notice how slight (but ever present) focus changes happen due to fluctuating temperatures...

Is so clear exactly as I described. How come no one can see it? [smilie=confused.gif]

I was wondering what a Bahtinov mask is. From Remus' photo, I now know the layman's term for this item is "bathroom drain cover". [smilie=cool.gif]
