Hi everybody,
I just want to share a lead regarding a made-in-china green laser. The sales price is SGD19. I just bought one.
It's at the 3rd floor big store that sells LauraStar iron.
Btw, I don't own any share in this company nor do i get any commission...
Just want to share this info.
Anybody know where I can get those red-dot laser bracket for SCT like this http://www.skypointer.net/brktfr.html
Thanks
Michael
I found Green lasers selling at just SGD19 at Harbour Front

Hi,
I just tried it.. the laser projected a straight green line and pointed to the sky.
Should i expect it to end with a dot amongst the cloud as i would normally when using a red laser point on the wall during a presentation?
I checked the specs on the manual.
It says <5mW on Class III
and <1mW on Class II...
I don't know what it means though.. so is it appropriate for astronomy use. It is written in the manual that this is meant for pointing the stars though.
Cheers

That is not the specification of the laser. That is just a general classification of laser power. Class 3A is for <5mW in the visible wavelengths. Class 3B for >5mW in the visible wavelengths.
Class 3A, Class 2 and Class 1 does not need a license to operate. Class 3B and above on the other hand requires a license to operate.
