Some Wide-field Photos from Kahang Farm

Oh boy! Milky Way is back! Here are some wide-filed shots from the recent trip up Kahang Eco Farm over the long weekends.



Here is a single 4 min shot where the Milky Way was still low from the horizon, just breaking cover from the clouds and misty sky.

Here is a closer shot, with the Scorpius region of Milky Way. Stars galore, with that many stars, see if you can out line the Scorpius Asterism.

Closer-in some more, here is part of Rho Ophiuchi complex and Antares region, with good dose of emission, reflected, and dark nebulae, and also 2 globular clusters.

now seeing it on a bigger screen, they look even more impressive! didn't realized the lower southern clouds moved that way....but it was truly a pristine moment, especially during the second night...that momentus half hour when it was totally starry everywhere...

Absolutely stunning photos. Can see M6, M7 and NGC6231 so clearly. Anyone still need a better reason to go to Malaysia in the months to come?
