Kelvin, your M31 is seriously amazing! I quite enjoy the cool feel of it.

Gavin the Starfinder and the Milky Way.

The picture at the right hand side has the local contrast tweaked, thus more stars are visible (could be distracting to some) and the appearance of B&W-ish. I personally prefer the left image. What about you?

Kudos to Kelvin for lending me his gorgeous baby - Sigma 16mm fisheye lens and Remus & others for making all these happen. I shall thank Kelvin again for being a life savior. He lent me a power cable for a german equatorial mount which I left behind at home... =.="

They are very very very nice! These are for keeps. I'm not sure whether I prefer the original one or the contrast adjusted one. Hmmm....

I think these give a good flavour of what we saw and experienced at Mersing. (However, the Milky Way was not that bright to the naked eye, but it was still very obvious in its entire structure.)

Kelvin, is your fisheye lens for sale? Quick, do a WTS on it!

Wow stunning images kelvin and Robin, wish i could have been there to learn a thing or two from you. The details on lagoon neb are so prominent!
Robin i find the "BW" image more appealing =)

Thanks for the kind words. Without Kelvin's lens, this is harder to achieve. Having said that, what I have done is just to frame and shoot. It was the great weather we had there.

Wonderful take on the trip Robin! It does sum up the evening very well! As for the 2 versions...Prefer the left one as it shows less blow outs on the foilage....but the less red hue in the Milky Way is cleaner on the right image.
Why not layer both!! Then you have the best of both worlds!!
