Alright, this is for sharing of your observation experience. Or, if you are arranging gatherings, star-gazing expeditions or just want some company to go observing together, you can shout it out here.
wow...in the old days, we are cut off from the real world. But these days with mobile signals everywhere, we can get "tweets" onsite! How is rlow and his 15" ? (telescope, I mean!) I intended to drop by to surprise him today but had a appointment with the family instead. bah..will miss another meteor shower again. Cloudy here, by the way. Hope Mersing is better.
The Boldly Go Where No Meade Has Gone Before Captain, RSS Enterprise NCC1701R United Federation of the Planets
Richard you should have come. Sky got better after 9pm though with some haze. Milky way clearly visible arching across the sky. We saw a bunch of DSOs and at least 10 meteors per person.
We do it in the dark...
Portaball 12.5"
Takahashi Mewlon 210
William Optics 110ED
...and all night long!
Yes Airconvent should have come, even if only for three hours of observation. We had the best view of Swan Nebula through the 15" dob last night. Siti counted 21 meteors from 9pm to midnight.
There were that many meteors that even I saw quite a few despite spending the whole night setting up the SXD and sitting behind a bright liveview screen and not getting a single image off!
