CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!
Hi,
Finally decided to put my Mod Canon 450D to use after so long. The weather wasn't that good yesterday... high clouds making the light pollution even worse and the stars look dim, but the result still look quite good (my standard ) with limited shooting time.
Shooting Info
Camera: Canon 450D Mod + Astronomik CLS EOS Clip-Filter
Lens: Canon EF 400mm F5.6L + 1.4x (@F8)
Images: 30 images x 2 minute exposure @ ISO1600
Have a nice day.

Very nice indeed WX. I would prefer if you pull the contrast down a notch to get a darker background.
Thought of sending your camera to "cataclysm" Kelvin for further "upgrade" )

No lah.. Kelvin mod need to bring too many components... I think I prefer simple and light-weight setup: Vixen GPD mount + Camera and Lens.
Anyway, I think the image will be improve quite a bit if I took 60 shots. Now is to attached a finder to my camera, so that can aim at object easily.
Have a nice day.
