Tarantula Nebula (NGC 2070) through HDB kitchen

As yesterday night the sky was kind of open for a while here although the moon was still quite fat, managed (45s X 13 shots @ ISO 200) + (90 s X 2 shots @ ISO 100) on Tarantula Nebula with 300 mm F4.0 (200mm F2.8 via 1.4 times extension). Vixen GPD2 mount un-guided, didn't have to time to do a 1 star drift method used recently but start shooting soon after quick set-up, stars are not so round but still very happy that can pick up this object in SG under severe condition (look at the bright glow at lower portion of the sky that the object is in & your will faint), Filter used = Nil (not even the clip on so as to accumulate the light faster). quess using a Ha filter would be better but need much longer time.

Incredible! I thought it was very difficult to see the LMC here in Singapore due to no clear horizon but you managed to "catch the spider"! Impressive, Peter

Thanks my friends for watching & likes it, yes indeed like Airconvent said, the Horizon is not clear here where the object is in. In fact, through out the few hours shooting - only managed to catch less than half hour of "good light". The Horizon i see @ Blk 143, Tampines 9th floor is merely a path of sky glow, what i did was purely electronics plus luck, sometime the object appear on screen after the exposure done & sometime not although that piece of sky still look exactly the same - glow of light. Hence, i guess it is a matter of more severe glow (not-useable) to less severe glow (i am not able to diffrentiate it though). i tried using 25mm eyepiece, can see very red star at the LMC region but did not have the patient to cool down the eye to see more, thanks for the encouragements.
n.b. But at last the sky was clear on 06 Dec 2012, see next post.
