1 hour rosette from the balcony

CCD vs Film? Lots of time vs no patience? Alright, this is your place to discuss all the astrophotography what's and what's not. You can discuss about techniques, accessories, cameras, whatever....just make sure you also post some nice photos here too!

1 hour rosette from the balcony

6 x 600 seconds.

i used a stacked IDAS LPS-V4 and Red #25, which is equivalent to a 20nm H-alpha bandpass (http://www.sciencecenter.net/hutech/haimage-v4.htm)

had to throw away 3/4 of the pixels on my QHY8 because only the red pixels respond to H-a light. Then used Carboni's actions (B&W -> false Ha) on the red channel.

so troublesome and for pretty mediocre results...

and an "enhanced" version - which looks a bit over-processed...
