Hi folks,
Managed to grab a few shots of the comet near my hometown in China, at one of the local prairie tourist resorts.
The viewing circumstances are improving in my place. As the comet slowly climbs out of the twilight glow, the visibility and photographic potential actually increase, despite the significant fading in its brightness compared to my Mar. 9 sighting in Singapore.
It was a beautiful moment to see the little comet hanging on the colourful, twilight-tinted skyline over the vast Inner-mongolian prairie. Wind turbines from the local electricity wind farm further add to the view. Not quite a great comet experience, but unforgettable for sure.
Hope I can get more clear nights next week so that I can get a few shots of the comet's conjunction with M31.
Best regards,
Jia Hao

Thanks Wee Ern. These are not really "wide" shots, but taken with 80mm(full frame equivalent), and 200mm lenses.Bergkamp_ wrote:Always very lovely wide view shots!

Thanks Kevin. You can google "Tongliao", a small town in the middle of north-eastern China. Ideal transparencies but terribly low temperature!cloud_cover wrote:Very nice!
