Astro-photography with only a DSLR camera

Post by beginner »

Astro-photography is possible with an ordinary DSLR, a Vixen Polarie and a tripod.
An economical way to start for those new to and interested in AP.

Camera - Nikon D600
Lens - 28mm at f2.8
Polar align done roughly. Star trailed with 3min exposure but not too obvious.
3 x 3 min stacked.
Recording - Jpeg in camera.

Photo is a part of Milkyway.

Regards,

Impressive result with a roughly aligned tracker! Thanks for sharing. Another quality product from Vixen. :)
