Re: CMOS Camera
ASI (ZWO optical) and QHY make some CMOS cameras based on the Aptina sensors. But these are very small sensors.
Both Canon and Sony (IMX sensors) have large Bayer CMOS sensors, but there are no mass-market large-sensor CMOS cameras outside of DSLR's.
There is a new generation large-sensor CMOS technology called s-CMOS. The manufacturer is Andor Technology, for example they have a 5.5-megapixel model DC-152Q-FI - see for example Qiu et al, "Evaluation of a scientific CMOS camera for astronomical observations," in Research in Astron. Astrophys. 2013 Vol. 13 No. 5, 615–628.

Do not expect it to be affordable though.
